Liz Magill Confirmation and Parade

M. Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Magill was confirmed as the University’s ninth president at a March 4 meeting of the Penn Trustees. The Penn Band led a procession down Locust Walk where faculty, staff, students, and alumni cheered on the historic occasion. At the parade’s terminus, President-elect Magill was greeted with a performance by the Penn Glee Club.  Present also for the warm campus welcome were the Penn Quaker and the Philadelphia Flyers’ mascot, Gritty.
